Since I last wrote, 5 different owners have stayed at 'Coeur de Terre', and I am happy to report that everyone has been pleased with the home. We have had suggestions for additions ranging from "nice to have" (blowdryers) to "necessary" (icemaker and card table). To date we have added 4 chaises for the back deck, chests of drawers in the upstairs bedrooms, a "step stool" for the king bed - custom made out of Ipe, games, nightlights, nonstick pans, and several additional works of art. The bunk room is now complete and was tested by 3 teenage boys over the Thanksgiving holiday. Their immediate feedback let me know that I need more cushioning than the 2" memory foam that is currently on each bunk.

We've also added landscape lighting to the back deck steps.

I will be sending out prorated bills for the management fee and expenses for 2007 this week. By mid-December, the annual projected budget for 2008 will be available. I will post it here as well as send a hard copy via mail.
