9/25 - 10/5

C/O inspection was today (Friday, 10/5) and we have only a few minor items to correct (stair risers must be closed, hurricane panels and cable rail complete - we were installing them during the inspection - some cover plates to install, etc.). We are still finishing landscaping and will begin furnishing the house this weekend, starting with the kitchen. Furniture beginsarriving tomorrow and the bulkier pieces will be moved on Tuesday. Much of it is sitting in an empty house we have for sale (Leigh has been accumulating items for a while). The balance seems to be residing in my living room and foyer. I will be happy to see my front door again! I truly never realized just how many items go into furnishing a large house when considering every item is new - from wash cloths to vacuum cleaner. UPS and Fed Ex are making daily runs here as Leigh has done a lot of shopping on line.

The washer and dryer were delivered yesterday (the delivery men dented our hardwood floor in the elevator. They will be paying for the repair).  It is truly a thrill to see the house coming together.

Next week (Friday - Monday) will be the inspections week for Members. We will be sending out a letter (as soon as the Lawyer reviews it) outlining the expected procedure for closing and occupying the house. Please let us know when you are coming in and we will arrange to meet you at the house and deliver your key. If you cannot make it, I will post a lot of pictures after the furniture is in - if anyone wants further details I will provide them.
