2/12-2/16 We passed the core inspection on Monday. The concrete is being poured today (Friday) in the formed concrete columns, which are the base for the steel columns. The framing / exterior trim crew has been working on decking. We are using a blind fastening system (deckmaster) for the Ipe, which involves placing a nailing fin on the joists and installing screws from the under side, so
there will be no nails visible on the surface of the decking. You may have difficulty seeing the men working from the camera while they are under the deck! It is slow but well worth the effort for the superior finish. Masons are still laying block around the elevator shaft and will have to tie the block into a couple of the formed columns after the forms are removed. Steel and crane will arrive Monday. The place will be hopping with workers next week. Still trying to make up some lost time.
